CGS employer branding: the video campaign that shows an outsourcing job from the inside

    Updated on

CGS Romania has more than 4,000 people across seven centres in the country. With director Tedy Necula, who leads NECULA Agency, CGS made an employer branding campaign that shows candidates what an outsourcing job is really like. Actors and colleagues from training, operations and support appear in the same videos. The campaign also includes a video portrait of Vladimir Sterescu, Country Manager, the man who built CGS Romania.

What an outsourcing job looks like

The problem CGS faced is one the whole outsourcing industry shares. From the outside, nobody can picture the job.

Candidates want to know what they would do there for eight hours, who they would work with and what a good day looks like. They need two simple things: to understand the job and to trust the people next to them.

Actors and colleagues in the same videos

CGS put actors and its own people in the same videos.

The actors played real roles, so everything would be clear. Colleagues from training, operations and support brought the rest, the real atmosphere of the CGS teams. It shows from the very first second.

The campaign also includes a video portrait of Vladimir Sterescu, Country Manager of CGS Romania.

Vladimir Sterescu founded EasyCall in 2003. In 2006 he sold the company to CGS and stayed on to lead the local operations. Since January 2025 he has been president of CGS's global outsourcing division, the first Romanian in the company's global leadership, according to Economedia.

The portrait was published on the CGS Nexus Romania YouTube channel on 7 May 2019, as “CGS Romania through the eyes of Vladimir Sterescu - Country Manager”. The four colleague portraits followed in May and June 2019.

Candidates see CGS from the inside before they walk through the door

Candidates now see CGS from the inside, with real people and real roles, before they walk through the door. And they already know who they will be having their first coffee with.

What other outsourcing companies can take from the CGS campaign

    1. Show the working day

For a job that is hard to picture from the outside, the campaign shows what someone does for eight hours and who they work with.

    2. Actors for clarity, colleagues for atmosphere

The actors played real roles, and colleagues from training, operations and support brought the atmosphere of the teams, in the same videos.

    3. Four colleagues, each with a name

Andrei, Iulia, Dan and Cezar each have their own portrait, published on the CGS YouTube channel.

    4. The leader in front of the camera

Vladimir Sterescu's portrait introduces candidates to the man who built CGS Romania.
